KARACHI: Geo Super will cover the World Series Hockey (WSH) tournament live from different venues in India.
The World Series Hockey is a fully commercial league which will provide excellent monetary benefits to hokey players from all over the world.
This is interesting for sports lovers in Pakistan that seven players from this country are participating in the tournament.
Following are the names and the teams of these Pakistani hockey players:
Waseem Ahmed (Bhopal Badshahs), Zeeshan Ashraf and Adnan Maqsood (Karnataka Lions), Rehan Butt – captain (Chennai Cheetahs), Shakeel Abbasi (Delhi Wizards) and Tariq Aziz (Shere Punjab).
In all, 59 matches will be played in the tournament. These will include two semi-finals and the final.
Geo Super wil;l telecast all these matches with pre- and post-match analysis in Super Eye.
Geo Super is also showing the star-studded opening ceremony featuring film stars Saif Ali Khan, Mika, Neha Hupia and other celebrities.
